1. Akash Agarwal

Age: 15 years
Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok

Akash is an above average student. He was ranked 1 in the French Olympiad and is the Vice-Captain of his house. He has won awards at the Model United National conferences and has attended an educational trip to NASA. He is a good debater and has represented the school in many interschool competitions. He also attended a 2-day Leadership Camp in school. He believes that social changes are necessary but that we should get to the root of the problem before we attempt any change.


2. Shivani Ahuja

Age: 14
The Shri Ram School, Aravali

Shivani is an academically gifted child who participates in Art for Charity and is also a budding poet. She believes that Art is a symbol of purity and it gives peace to the surroundings. In 10 years’ time, Shivani hopes that she will have a painting of Buddha in the parliament house. Through this art work Shivani would like to convey the message of brotherhood and peace. Through her other works she would like to portray the happenings that touch the heart of masses.


3. Taarini Andlay

Age: 13 years
School: The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon

Taarini is a student par excellence and has achieved great scores in school. She is interested in History and has combined her interest for the subject with her interests in art and social work by studying about historical artworks and artists and how their works depict social issues of their time. She is also an accomplished swimmer and is known to be dependable amongst her peers and is looked up to take charge and get things done. Her teachers have also identified and appreciated her ability to commit to social issues.


4. Gayatri Arora

Age: 16 years
School: D.P.S, R.K. Puram, New Delhi

Gayatri is a talented young girl and has undergone western voice and vocal training. She has also been an active community service volunteer and during 2015-16 she taught underprivileged children for 6 months at Superschool India. Her passions revolve around food and she has a dream to have her own venture in the food industry as she aims to start by opening a bakery. She has also achieved excellent grades in her studies and has been felicitated for her consistent performance at school.


5. Rishab Atroley

Age: 15 years
School: The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon

Rishab has a polite demeanour and pleasant attitude. He is known to be a team leader at school and has led from the front during French inter school competitions. He is also a passionate guitar player and is learning guitar from Trinity College London. He has also been awarded for his excellence in yoga.


6. Karan Baijal

Age: 13 years
School: The Shri Ram School, Aravali, Gurgaon

Karan has been an accomplished student at school. He is a passionate guitar player and other than his interests in music, he has also been actively involved in sports like basketball and football. He is also interested in film making and attended a summer theatre workshop organized by Barry John Acting School.


7. Viraj Bakliwal

Age: 14 years
The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon

Viraj is an accomplished student and has secured good grades in subjects like History, Hindi and Physics. He has also actively participated in cricket matches organized in his school and has achieved impressive results in an all India Maths competition. In his essay, Viraj talks about becoming a successful lawyer and fighting corruption.


8. Ritwick Bhargava

Age: 16
The Shri Ram School, Aravali

Ritwick is an intelligent young boy who has participated in the Model United Nations, plays the guitar and has done a summer programme for talented students. In his essay he has written that in ten years he would like to be awarded the Fields Medal for 2016 for Mathematics. He hopes that he can continue to teach and research mathematics.


9. Taannyaa Bhatia

Age: 17 Years
The Shri Ram School, Aravali, Gurgaon

Taannyaa has been actively involved in extra-curricular activities where she has displayed instances of her leadership qualities. Her language prowess and writing capabilities are excellent and she has regularly contributed to her school magazine. She takes keen initiative to participate in Model United Nations competitions. She aims to contribute to the society by working for women empowerment.


10. Smayan Kartik Chadha

Age: 14 Years
School: The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon

Smayan is a sporting, fun loving and a spontaneous young man. He is generous with his help and support to classmates and has won an award for lateral thinking. He is naturally drawn towards outdoor activities and is passionate about football and golf. His philosophy of forgive and forget has won the hearts of his friends and teachers alike. He is committed to bring about social change and wants to help the country and its citizens in achieving their true potential.


11. Rajat Suvra Chakraborty

Age: 16 years
School: Birla High School, Kolkata

Rajat has a good CGPA and has interest in Tug of war and debating, drama, volleyball and swimming. He studies Commerce in class 11. He has written an ambitious essay about starting small but becoming a business tycoon, a pilot and doing social work for all the disadvantaged sections of society.


12. Preeya Chettri

Age: 15
Government Secondary School, Duga, East Sikkim

Preeya dreams of becoming a doctor and finding the cure for cancer. She has been securing top positions in debates and quizzes and is also interested in dancing. Preeya is also a keen sports player and plays badminton.


13. Taira Deshpande

Age: 16 years
School: The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon

An extraordinary young woman, who acclaimed by her teachers to be one the most responsible student in her class, Taira has steely determination and remarkable resilience. She is also known to have a good work ethic. She is respectful, courteous and always willing to lend a helping hand whenever required. Apart from being an ideal student is also interested in Western Music and is committed to bring about social change in the community.


14. Ayesha Dhall

Age: 15 Years
School: The Shri Ram School, Aravali, New Delhi

Ayesha has a keen desire to learn and excel. She is a determined individual and has completed Grade 4 Communication Skills at Trinity College of London. She is a member of the middle school swimming team. She is also trained in Hindustani Vocal Music and is interested in art.


15. Adarsh Dwivedi

Age: 16 years

Adarsh is interested in technology, Music and literature. He would like to take technology to a new level where people can access it without any barriers of discrimination or money. He wants technology to allow meaningful conversations between human beings anywhere. He writes about inventing the first hack-proof operating system in the future. 16. Parth Ghildiyal

Age: 13 years
Amity International School, Gurgaon

Parth has a good academic record and is very creative too. He wrote about how picnicking on the Mars had become easy as he had discovered life on Mars. He believes in hard work and diligence and being curious about his surroundings as his secret of success. He has empathy for his fellow beings and would be inclined to lend a helping hand for those who are not as fortunate. He is very active in his extracurricular activities like science Olympiad, quiz, debating, creative writing, and also shloka competition.


17. Vaanyasri Goel

Age: 15 Years
School: The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon

Vaanyasri is an accomplished student and has achieved awards for excellence in academics. She wishes to be a successful entrepreneur with a heart and mind for the society and wishes to pursue a career in event management or public relations. She is an avid debater and has also participated in several plays. She also actively participates in outdoor activities, is a member of the basketball team and has received a blue belt in Taekwondo. She is socially responsible and sensitive person.


18. Mayank Goyal

Age: 15 years
The Air Force School, New Delhi

Mayank is a smart young boy who is down to earth and but would like to reach the sky through grit and hard work. He is interested in Basketball, swimming, quiz and crosswords. He has been described as an earnest student, honest in his demeanor and with a positive approach to life. He is good at academics and is also interested in extracurricular activities. He is creative and composes poems also.


19. Aditi Rohit Inamdar

Age: 13 Years

Aditi has achieved excellence in subjects like maths, Spanish and biology at school. She is passionate about art and music and has keen interest in writing and poetry. She also enjoys badminton and is trained in martial arts. She has also actively participated in many social welfare initiatives like teaching underprivileged children, working at an animal shelter and performing plays at an old age home.


20. Tanisha Indrayan

Age: 15

Tanisha has excelled in all her academic pursuits. She has also trained herself in lawn tennis and is also a keen swimmer. Apart from sports, she is interested in art and music and plays the piano.


21. Arihant Jain

Age: 16 years
St Johns High School, Chandigarh

He is an above average student and has many community outreach programmes to his credit. He has participated in environment related campaigns, taught underprivileged children, and in sensitizing society about blood donation campaigns. It is his ambition to become a well-known psychologist, poet and writer and would like to do his bit for the well-being of society and the environment.


22. Arjun Jaitly

Age: 15 Years

Arjun has been a high achiever in the classroom and has received excellence awards for obtaining above 90% in most of the subjects he studied. Arjun is very talented and also plays the guitar. His concerns about the environment are showcased by his participation in events spreading awareness regarding the environment.


23. Kanishk Kapoor

Age: 15 years
School: The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon

Kanishk is a dynamic young boy. He loves to play guitar and is also a member of the drama society and has won many awards at All India level for the same. He is a smart student and is also sensitive about social issues and has been contributing in his capacity by teaching underprivileged students and by starting E-waste recycling projects in his school and externally in the society.


24. Daksh Kaushik

Age: 15 years
DAV Public School, Gurgaon

Daksh has a good CGPA record and is also interested in extra-curricular activities like running and athletics as well as environmental improvement like tree plantation. He has participated in space projects and quizzes on wild life. He is a dog lover and his essay speaks about creating a happy and healthy environment for animals through his work as a vet. He would like to use his campaigns with his employees and volunteers to influence people to adopt these animals as pets.


25. Ubaid Kazi

Age: 14 Years
Udyanchal School, Mumbai

Ubaid is an accomplished student and he writes in his essay that he wishes to become a Michelin Star chef someday. Apart from being an ideal student, he has represented his school in football tournaments and is interested in reading.


26. Soumya Khera

Age: 17 Years

Soumya is a high achiever and she involves herself in all aspects of school life both academics and co-curricular. She has interests that encompass protection of the environment, reading and sports. She is always ready to help fellow students and is generous in her aid. She is a talented basketball player and has represented her school and state at the district and national level. She has been a part of initiatives to educate underprivileged children and aspires to become a cardiologist.


27. Aryan Niraj Kishan

Age: 14 years

A guitarist by passion, he is a young talented fellow. Other than being awarded Grade 2 Guitar award with merit from the Trinity College London, he also has interests in acting and the same is depicted by the fact that he has completed a young actor’s course with the Barry John Acting Studio. He is also a good student and has been recognised at school for achieving excellent marks in History and Civics.


28. Sukriti Lakhtakia

Age: 17 Years
Delhi Public School, Khajaguda

Sukriti is a hard working student and has achieved good marks in tenth grade. She has a creative bent of mind and is naturally inclined towards subjects of science and languages. She has won many prizes in essay writing and is an avid blogger as she maintains a photo blog on WordPress. She has also been a part of community service initiatives organized by her school.


29. Ananya Lal

Age: 14 Years

Ananya is an accomplished student, having received excellence awards in various subjects. She aspires to become a lawyer and an activist in the future. She is passionate about art and exhibits interest for the environment.


30. Palak Maheshwari

Age: 15 years
Bal Bharati School, Bahadurgarh, Haryana

Palak has been describes as an all-rounder with good communication skills, intellectual ability, and leadership skills. She has also won many medals in judo and gymnastics and likes dancing. Her hobies are painting and cooking. She dreams of discovering an anti-gravitational safety measure base that will save construction workers who could fall from heights. For her success is a journey no a destination.


31. Khan Farheen Maqsood

Age: 15 years
Shree Geeta Vidyalaya, Mumbai

Farheen enjoys reading, painting, singing and dancing and has been excellent in academics. She has also won essay writing competitions and participated in debate competitions organized for students in Mumbai and Pune. In her essay she writes about becoming an inspiring journalist who will strive to provide people with the right information. She believes in Gandhiji’s words “In a gentle way, you can shake the world".


32. Fatima Richelle Mather

Age: 16 years
School: Vidyodaya School, Cochin

Fatima is an active, exuberant and intelligent girl from Cochin and daughter of ILI Shaffi Mather. She was a school member of the Red Cross, is interested in gender equality and MUN. She describes herself as a ‘strong humanitarian with a spontaneous and courageous spirit’. She is passionate about removing the stigma around mental health and her leadership venture is also in the same direction. She has been described as someone with strong views and leadership qualities.


33. Radhika Narain Mathur

Age: 16 years
School: The Shri Ram School, Moulsari

Radhika is a poised, open minded, self-assured and mature young girl. She is intelligent and also participates in extracurricular activities. She has volunteered to teach in the Balwadi programme of the school and works closely with the Red Paws society to create awareness and collect funds for stray dogs. She believes that the need of the hour is to change the mind-set of the people because they have moved away from the time tested values of honesty, hard work, integrity, humility, sensitivity to fellow humans and animals and pride in one's heritage.


34. Anoosheh Zara Mirkhushal

Age: 14 Years
St. Mary’s School, Pune

Anoosheh is an intelligent and talented girl. She is responsible and has good leadership qualities. She is excellent in her academic work and also makes it a point to participate in debates, quizzes, dramatics and sports. In her essay she tells us that she endeavours to work for the welfare of others.


35. Komal Mishra

Age: 16 years

She is artistic, self-motivated and polite, good in studies and also in extracurricular activities. She dreams of a fully developed and smart India with fully aware and healthy citizens and without the problems of poverty and one with good infrastructure and cleanliness and a healthy economy. She would also like to contribute to making Indian society broadminded and without religious differences.


36. Smiti Mittal

Age: 14 years

Smiti Mittal is an academically brilliant girl. She has done a summer programme for gifted children with Dukes, learns Hindustani classical music, a debater, Mock UNer, open water diver and also teaches underprivileged children. She aims to be an Ivy leaguer, study law and policy making, work with the United Nations and also research particle physics.


37. Tara Mittal

Age: 15 Years

Tara has been an excellent achiever at school. She is passionate about music and has also been an active volunteer in social service. She even took an initiative to sell bakery items and collect old newspapers for sale and contributed all the earnings from these activities for the relief operations in Nepal.


38. S. Mounisha

Age: 15 Years
Shree Chaitanya School, Chittoor

Mounisha has performed really well in her studies. She aims to pursue her further education at one of the prestigious IIT’s and contribute to the development of the country by working in the IT sector. She also actively participates and performs well in sports activities organized at her school.


39. Mrunmayee Nerlikar

Age: 15 years
St. Mary’s School, Pune

Mrunmayee is a sincere student has secured great marks in her academics. She is a voracious reader, an excellent orator and has a flair for writing. She is a member of the school editorial board and the robotics team. She has won prizes in CREO modelling and essay competition on alternate energy sources and has represented her school in debate competitions. She wants to do her M.Tech in Energ and Environment Management and wants to work to promote clean energy.


40. Apoorvi Bharat Ram

Age: 13 years

Apoorvi is an amiable young girl and has a reputation of being a perfectionist among her teachers and fellow students. She has an artistic bent of mind and that makes her work at school really interesting. She has sound values and has been actively volunteering for the NGO ‘She’s Against Rape’, which aims to distribute safety sirens and rape whistles for free in Delhi. Her sensitivity regarding such grave social issues at such a young age clearly establish the fact that she has sound values and can discern right from wrong and correct from incorrect.

Padma is a student of SECMOL (Students’ Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh) that promotes an alternative education system that was built for students in aim to improve their confidence and knowledge about basic topics such as science, literature and math. It gives students a Second Chance and helps people who have failed to attempt at success. The founder of SECMOL, Sonam Wangchuk, is reputed to be the inspiration behind the Aamir Khan film – 3 Idiots


44. Simran Satiya

Age: 13 Years

Simran has achieved good grades in her school and has keen interest in Football, Music and swimming. She is also a trained piano player and she wishes to bring about a change in the society by improving sanitation in the country. She also actively takes part in recital of poems and story-telling.


45. Joel Sebastian

Age: 18 years
Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School, Trivandrum

Joel is a responsible and sincere child. He has performed equally well in both academics and co-curricular. He is known for his leadership qualities and never hesitates before lending a helping hand to his fellow students. He is also a keen sportsman and has won medals in athletics at the school level. Shifa enjoys singing and dancing, she has even participated in various competitions to represent her school. Shifa has been successful in scoring good marks at school and is known to help others in doing so as well. Pratham is a sincere student who aims to become a journalist. He is interested in art, literature and music. His awareness regarding on going social issues is displayed by the fact that he has also been part of climate change workshops.


51. Utkarsh Shukla

Age: 13 years
School: Gangotri Public School, New Delhi

Sponsored by Teach for India, Utkarsh is a smart young boy who is outgoing and intelligent. He actively participated in all the discussions and made a lot of friends at camp. He has been awarded gold medals in the English and Maths and has participated in many community research projects and research. He is hurt by the gender equality that he sees around him and how girls are discriminated against in society. He would like to do whatever he can to change this mindset in society.


52. Sanya Singla

Age: 14 Years
School: The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon

Sanya is a sincere and friendly child and does not hesitate when it comes to taking initiative or helping out her classmates. She is also interested in baking, dancing and singing. She wanted to experience camp life and make lots of new friends.


53. Avnee Taneja

Age: 16 years
Delhi Publc School, Sushant Lok, New Delhi

Avnee is an above average student who is dedicated, motivated, and passionate about whatever she does. She has been described as an authentic leader and good at team work. She participates actively in extracurricular activities and has been a part of group visiting the Pakistani High Commission, a cultural exchange program with French students and NASA on an educational tour. She loves dancing and music and is Vice Captain of her House.


54. Isha Thakur

Age: 13 years
Government Girls Senior Secondary School, New Delhi

Sponsored by Teach for India, Isha is an exceptionally sharp and intelligent girl who took a very active and vocal part in the Socratic and other discussions at the Camp. She led her class of 89 students in the DFC project to solve the lack of money by creating a bank which was selected as one of the top 100 in India. She has also attending three Carpe Diem camps.


55. Jaspee Virdi

Age: 15 Years
Mount Zion School, Gangtok

Jaspee is a well accomplished student in the classroom and has keen interest in outdoor activities. He has participated in several outdoor activities like paragliding and wishes to be a successful sports person someday. It is also interesting to know that Jaspee had received the title ‘Junior Memory Grand Master’ by India book of records in 2013.


56. Ananya Yadav

Age: 16 years

She is an intelligent girl who is a part of the school basketball team , dances and also plays the guitar. she believes in hard work and has always wanted to be different and the best at the same time. Her main moto has been to follow the heart, live the dream and believe in herself even when no one else does. She hopes to emphasize that she always comes out with solutions even when she is facing the most difficult of times. She believes that hardwork always pays off.
