The India-Singapore Strategic Dialogue (ISSD), held on August 6-7, 2025, in New Delhi, has established itself as a premier, invitation-only platform for shaping the bilateral agenda between India and Singapore. Held under Chatham House Rules, the dialogue brought together senior representatives from government, business, academia, media, and leading think tanks.
Jointly organised by the Ananta Aspen Centre, in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), the dialogue convened senior leaders for off-the-record discussions on issues of strategic significance, like bilateral and regional developments, collaboration in semiconductor and technology, defence ties, trade and connectivity.
The Singapore Delegation called on Dr. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, Government of India, and Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting and Electronics & IT, Government of India, for enriching conversation on India’s current geopolitical stance, the evolving role of ASEAN and emerging areas of collaboration in semiconductors, technology and digital transformation.
The dialogue was co-chaired by Mr Jamshyd Godrej, Chairman, India-Singapore Strategic Dialogue; Chairman and Managing Director, Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Industry Ltd.
